A popular decoration is a small elf door with a charming miniature world around it... the elf door tradition comes from Scandinavia. Throughout the year, but especially during the Advent season, a little elf moves into the house and lives behind an elf door above the baseboard. He helps with the Christmas preparations and loves to play pranks. He is nocturnal and only comes out of his hiding place when everyone is asleep. The elf door must never be opened! Because if someone sees the elf, he loses his magic.
These fantastic miniature worlds are a wonderful addition to the Christmas season, but they can usually be found all year round... Themes such as New Year's Eve, birthdays, Halloween, or the start of school can be decorated... Have fun decorating!
